Red Light Panel Setup: Placement, Timer and Eye Protection

The Daily Restore Red Light Therapy Panel is designed to be set up once and used as part of a simple routine. It stands on its own base, has dedicated RED and NIR buttons and a built-in digital timer, and comes with protective goggles. This guide covers placement, the timer, and eye protection.

This is a setup guide. Your user manual is the final word on distance, session length and settings, and it is the place to look for anything this article does not cover.

What Is in the Box

  • Red Light Therapy Panel with stand
  • Power cord
  • Protective goggles
  • User manual

The Panel at a Glance

The product page lists five wavelengths (630, 660, 810, 830 and 850nm) across 60 high-power 5W LEDs, for 300W of total LED power in a 30-degree beam. It runs on 100-250V AC. The panel is 38.5 x 23 x 6.5 cm (about 15.2 x 9.1 x 2.6 in) standing and has a shipping weight of 5.1 kg (about 11.2 lb). The LEDs are rated for 100,000+ hours (a manufacturer rating).

Placement

Use the included base. The panel stands on its own base, so there is no assembly puzzle. Set it on a stable, level surface such as a desk or table.

Keep the cord in mind. Pick a spot near an outlet so the cord is not pulled tight.

Choose a spot you will actually use. A corner of a bedroom, an office or a living room works. If it is easy to reach, you will use it.

Check the manual for distance. The product page does not list a recommended distance, so use the figure in your user manual.

The page lists a 30-degree beam angle. In plain terms, the light is concentrated in a cone rather than spread widely, so aim the panel the way your manual describes.

Using the Controls and the Timer

There are dedicated RED and NIR mode buttons and a built-in digital timer. The sequence is simple:

  1. Plug it in and set it on its base.
  2. Pick your mode. Use the RED or NIR button.
  3. Set the timer. Check the manual for how to set it and how long to run a session.
  4. Put on the goggles and settle in.

The page frames the panel around a 10-minute reset. Your manual lists session lengths. Start there.

Eye Protection

Protective goggles are included in the box. Put them on before you start a session and keep them on while the panel is running, unless your manual says otherwise. Do not look directly into the panel. If you are using the panel around other people, make sure anyone in front of it has eye protection too. Your manual covers eye safety in more detail, so read that section first.

Building a Routine

Pick a time. Tie your session to something you already do, like the end of your workday.

Keep the goggles with the panel. If they live in the same spot, you will not skip them.

Use the timer. Set it every time, so you do not have to watch the clock.

Safety and Who Should Check With a Doctor First

If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or take medication, check with your doctor before using a light panel. The panel is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
